  1. The relative expression was determined by real-time PCR (qPCR) and normalized to the abundance of 18S. The results from follicles from 3 separate females are expressed as mean -ΔΔC t (n = 3) with respect to the control, which has been set at 0 for each particular gene. Statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences with respect to the control group are indicated by an asterisk (*). Genes are: kallikrein (KT-14), NOP (novel osteopontin-like protein), TOP-2 (trout ovulatory protein-2), TDcR (trout decoy receptor), MIF (macrophage migration inhibitory factor).
