PUC cells selected for stem cell-like morphology. The initial population of cells (passage zero, or P0; A) expanded from explants contain many different cell types based on morphology. After one passage (P1) using the described selection technique, the number of round and fibroblast-like cells was significantly increased (B) and was further enhanced after passage 2 (C).
