TGFBR2 over-expression rescues TGFB responsiveness in LβT2 cells. LβT2 cells seeded in 24-well plates were transfected with the -1990/+1 mFshb-luc reporter and an expression vector for the human TGFBR2. Control wells were transfected with an empty expression vector, pcDNA3.0. Half of the cells in each condition were then treated with 400 pM TGFB1 for approximately 24 hr (filled bars). Data points reflect mean (+/- SEM) fold-change in luciferase activity from the control condition (pcDNA3.0, control) in three experiments performed in triplicate (n = 9). Bars with different letters differed significantly.
