Constitutively active activin and TGFB type I receptors stimulate Fshb transcription in LβT2 cells. LβT2 cells seeded in 24-well plates were transfected with the -1990/+1 mFshb-luc reporter and expression vectors for constitutively active forms of the rat activin (Acvr1b-TD) and human TGFB (TGFBR1-TD) type I receptors or with an empty expression vector (pcDNA3.0). Data reflect mean (+/- SEM) fold-change in luciferase activity from the control condition (pcDNA3.0) in two experiments performed in triplicate (n = 6). Bars with different letters differed significantly.
