Brightfield (left) and fluorescent (right) images of lentivirus-transduced rhesus monkey preimplantation embryos. IVF-derived embryos were injected with lentivirus stock with GFP expression under the control of the EF-1α promoter. Injections were done at the 8–16 cell stage (60 hrs postinsemination (PI), Panel A) and embryos were imaged at 10–12 hour intervals thereafter. Most embryos were at the blastocyst stage within 4 days (panels I, J).
