Most specimens were from the collection of the Museum of Zoology, University of Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil (MZUSP) with temporary museum numbers given in brackets. The nomenclature follows a recent revision of Oryzomys by Weksler et al. [25]. Fresh material was collected at CEMAS, Mossoro, RN, and in São Joaquim da Barra (SJP), SP.
