The SLR reflects both the direction and the magnitude of changes in gene expression in TG mice compared to WT (for detailed explanation, see the text). The vertical scale is a 2-based log scale used in computing SLR. On this scale, 0 represents no change, +1.0 and -1.0 represent a 2-fold, +2.0 and -2.0 a 4-fold increase and decrease, respectively. This analysis identifies 381 genes as up-regulated (i.e., those above the horizontal line +1.0) and 198 genes as down-regulated (below the horizontal line -1.0).
