  1. Supernatant, using the CCl64 mink lung epithelial cell line as a bioassay for the measurement of TGF-β activity. Spermatocytes, round spermatids, elongated spermatids and Sertoli cells were cultured for 24 h. TGF-β activity in the different preparations was measured before and after heat-activation of the samples (for details see Materials & Methods). The incubations were carried out in triplicate (values are presented as means ± SD); the data being representative of at least three different experiments. ND: not detectable.
