Effects of the subtype-selective α2A-adrenergic receptor antagonist BRL 44408, the α2B/C-adrenergic receptor antagonist ARC 239 and the α2C-adrenergic receptor antagonist spiroxatrine on the myometrial cAMP level (pmol/mg tissue ± S.D.) in the presence of isobutylmethylxanthine (10−3 M) and forskolin (10−5 M) (control) in the 22-day-pregnant rat (n = 6) after progesterone pretreatment.
