Two successive sections of the Japanese eel oocytes at the tertiary yolk globule stage (A, D), the migratory nucleus stage (B, E), and the mature stage (C, F) stained with hematoxylin and eosin (A, B, C) and immunocytochemically stained with anti-eel AQP1b (D, E, F). Faint but clear immunoreaction was detected around the yolk globules (D) and the large yolk mass (E, F). Bars indicate 50 μm.
