Quantification of dendritic cell subsets in cervical mucosa by flow cytometric analysis. (A) Introduction of an acquisition gate (R1) on the forward-scatter (FSC) versus side-scatter (SSC) profile to select mononuclear cell population. (B) cervical DCs were identified within gate R2 as lineage fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) cocktail (contains anti-CD3, CD14, CD16, CD19, CD20, and CD56) negative and HLA-DR positive. (C-D) Detection of HLA-DR+ CD11c+ myeloid DCs and HLA-DR+CD123+ plasmacytoid DCs respectively.
