Immunofluorescence using (a) FITC labelled unphosphorylated connexin 43 (Green), (b) TRITc labelled KIT antibodies (Red) and (c) overlap of the images to reveal a complete match indicating that the unphosphorylated connexin 43 expressing cells also express KIT (Bars = 150 micrometres).
