Asterisks at corresponding regions just outside the corpuscle. PGP 9.5 immunoreactive nerve fibers are seen within the corpuscle (black arrows). The occurrence of intracorpuscular nerve fibers is observed via PAP staining (arrows, b). Compartmentalization is evident in (a); p75 immunoreaction delineates the contours of the compartments (arrows).
