Testosterone, but not 1,25D 3 , enhanced ERβ expression; testosterone and 1,25D 3 had no effect on VDR expression. Granulosa cells were pretreated with 1,25D3 for 15 min and subsequently treated with one of two testosterone doses or vehicle for 24 h (n = 4–5 in each group). The granulosa cell lysates were subjected to western blot analysis for (A) ERβ and (B) VDR expression levels. The levels of ERβ and VDR expression were quantified using densitometry and normalized to β-actin.
