From: Ovarian HMW adiponectin is associated with folliculogenesis in women with polycystic ovary syndrome
The correlation between the levels of HMW adiponectin and total adiponectin in the serum and the number of follicles among the women with and without PCOS undergoing IVF. A strong negative linear correlation was observed between the number of follicles and (A) the HMW adiponectin levels (r = −0.574, P = 0.008) and (B) the total adiponectin levels (r = −0.522, P = 0.018) in the serum.
