Interaction between activin-A and follistatin-288 on ActRI mRNA expression. Cells were incubated for 6 hours in the presence or absence of activin-A (10 ng/ml) alone, or activin-A(10 ng/ml) incombination with increasing concentrations of follistatin (10–100 ng/ml). cPCR was performed to obtain ActRI mRNA levels which were then normalized for β-actin mRNA levels measured by PCR.
